I love how you can say so much without saying--in particular that brilliant exchange where she says I hate you, but we know what he's thinking about; then she doesn't understand his reaction and feels she has to tell him she didn't mean it;and his reaction to that. I can think of at least two things that might have gone through his mind right then, poor Doctor.
