Rains of Castamere

Spoilers up until around pp. 700 of A Storm of Swords (A Song of Ice and Fire: Book Three). If you've read it its you-know-what in regards to a certain wedding.
I've just read it, because obviously ASOIAF is more important than my German exam, and I don't know how to... I can't... I mean... what. no. no. no.
This simply isn't fair. Martin can't do this. Is this some thing that, everytime he is annoyed by his fans, he kills a Stark? There was some time between A Clash of Kings and A Storm of Swords, right? Did your fans harrass you this much for a new book that you became frustrated enough TO DO THIS??
In general, living in Westeros or the surrounding countries aren't exactly fun, especially not if you are a main character in these books. But he ESPECIALLY has it in for the Starks. And the terrible part? The Starks are actually some of the only genuinly good people in these books. You don't see them murdering children or betraying their old friends. And because my brain simply cannot process this, I've decided that its because they're not. Because yes, Eddard Stark was a good man, who followed his best friend into battle after his sister was kidnapped. But we know so little of that story - and one thing we do know is that small, innocent children were murdered by Ned and Robert's men, simply for being Targaryens. The frustrating thing about Martin's book-series, is that there simply isn't any good and evil. There are people and there is power and everyone will do something to get that power.
What's even more frustrating is how much is pure chance, how much one single event can turn around and touch millions other people. And so, Robb Stark falls in love and everyone dies.
Okay, not everyone, obviously. But the Greatjon and Dacey Mormont and Robb and Catelyn ohmygod.
I am so angry with Robb right now, in the same way that I was angry with Jaime and Cersei for being incestous pervets, with Robert for being a terrible King and a worse husband, with Sansa for not opening her eyes and seeing what was going on, with Catelyn for treating Jon like shit.
I'm not really angry at half of these people anymore. Especially not Sansa and Catelyn. I had paid note to the fact that Catelyn had a lot of POV-chapters in this book - and of course it was so we could grow attached to her - and attached to Robb through her - before Martin BRUTALLY KILLED THEM OFF.
And Arya was just there. Oh my god, she's still there! She's not going to die is she????? OHMYGOD SHE WAS SO CLOSE AND NOW SHE'LL SEE HER MOTHER AND BROTHER DEAD AND EVERYONE THINKS THAT BRAN AND RICKON ARE DEAD AS WELL AND CATELYN DIED NOT KNOWING THAT THEY WEREN'T OHMYGOD AND DID ROBB MAKE JON HIS HEIR, DOES JON HAVE TO BE KING IN THE NORTH NOW, NO, JON I LOVE YOU BUT YOU WOULD BE SO TERRIBLE AT THAT.
Sorry, I just can't. This is worse than when Ned got his head cut off, because... well, two Starks dead are worse than one? Oh dear, as far as most people know, Sansa is now the only living Stark left. Only she's a Lannister now.
Ha, and here I was just mentally begging G.R.R. Martin to kill off at least one Lannister next book. I'M SO SORRY SANSA, I'VE CURSED YOU.
On a more coherent note: The Rains of Castamere was the song they played at the end credits of GOT 2x09 Blackwater, and I loved the song so much I've been hearing it on repeat on youtube. As soon as Catelyn notes the song, I just got this terrible feeling in my gut. Lord Frey is a cruel, sort of genius man. Playing that omnious song about pride and power, a song that was made in honor of the Lannister-victory, the very House that the Starks hate most of all now.
Walder Frey, you've made THE LIST, right alongside Joffrey and Viserys (who we've at least gotten rid of!) and Morgana from BBC's Merlin. Most likely, you'll survive to be a hundred, because being hated by me is apparantly a good foil for getting killed (unless you're surrounded by Dothraki)
I am going to miss Cat's POV so much.
