- [livejournal.com profile] fueschgast I haven't forgotten about your SuperWho fic! It will be up sometime. I just got sidetracked and ended up writing angsty Dean/Cas instead (because you know how Supernatural doesn't give us enough angst already.... eh) ;)

- I have this horrible habit of... never ever buying clothes. That's not such a horrible habit, but it does mean that at least once a year, I end up having absolutely no clothes because everything is so worn down or - in the case of this winter - it is just not warm enough to wear anywhere that isn't inside a sauna. So I end up having to go on a shopping spree and I am not good at going on shopping sprees. This time, however, was made immensely entertaining because I went with my whole family, including my dad. He actually volounteered to go. I think he's sick or posessed or something. Nevermind, we were looking for shoes, and I stumbled upon a cheap pair that would go well with the suit I want to wear for galla when I graduate: I'm no good at walking in heels though, so when I complained about this my dad went: 'oh, those are not so bad. Just walk a little in them every day or as often as you can, and you'll get used to it'. Cue me being showed pictures of my dad in dress, wig and high heels when we got home. Apparantly he'd do this every time someone had a big birthday/bachelor-party/anniversary/anything. I haven't laughed this hard in months. (and I did end up buying the shoes)

- I've started reading Leonard Cohen's Book of Longing and it is very beautiful. It's been awhile since I read a whole book of poetry, so it takes a little to get back in the game, but I'd recommend it to anyone who likes his music or likes really moody poetry (technically all poetry is moody. IGNORE ME)

- I finally watched the new trailer for The Hobbit. I actually waved my arms around in the air for a bit just freaking out by myself. Yes.

-
I have also just read Neil Gaiman's Coraline, the graphic novel-version. So scary, but so good (though I didn't like the art all of the time, but other times it was very beautiful)

- I've made two more paintings. The Wire and Tailles I've named them. One is about two lovers and the other has an elephant on it. I'm sort of counting on becoming famous and then selling them for a ridicolous amount of money so they can pay my pension or something. I have so many pieces just stacked away in closest around the house. Some of them gotta sell.

- I need to write a song about the Old South (America) for an English paper. Yes a song. What even? I think our teacher is smoking weed. I also think it is going to be very entertaining. I'm thinking of writing one about Huckleberry Finn, because how often in my life will I get to praise Mark Twain in song?

- I need to go now, because I have an Economy report glaring at me. It's due Monday and I haven't started. All I can think about is my dad in a wig and John Mitchell as a dwarf.

Heee. We have a picture of my dad dressed up as woman and he looked so good!

My god, I haven't seen the trailer yet! I can't be bothered to look for it. /lazy

Ooh, could you post some of your paintings?

Eeepp, I don't know. I have no problems with strangers looking at them, but with my friends I tend to panic xD

Thanks! XD

Oh, okay. I know, sharing art is scary. And to be honest, if I didn't like it, I'd be afraid to say. Me not liking it is actually horribly likely: there's a fuckload of styles that I don't like, so most stuff doesn't stand a chance. Usually stuff has to look realistic for me to like it. ...That didn't sound very encouraging, did it? I just meant to say that I'm not the most openminded about paintings, so my opinion doesn't matter anyway.

Can't you hurry up with your birthday? I've had an idea for a picture today and just photoshopped it.

PS: OMG, I only saw that tiny bit of Bilbo moving, but it was just so like Ian Holm! Martin Freeman couldn't have been any perfecterer for this role!

Edited to add: I should watch the whole thing before I comment (she says while she types a comment again before having watched the whole thing)! I just made a ridiculous noise, when I saw the hedgehog! XD

Haha, lol. I like a lot of different art, but I'm not very talented, so I mainly do sort of... moods and simple illustrations. When I try to do something all-too crazy it ends up looking like a toddler did it!

It's in December, so a few months yet ;D and now you've got me all excited!

Martin Freeman was BORN to play a young Bilbo Baggins! I can't wait for this :D :D

Well, some works of art also look like a toddler made them. You could become a famous artist! :oD

But it's nothing to get excited about. Just a silly little picture.

Lol, probably :D

But it's the thought that counts (: small things makes me very happy, even if it is just a 'silly little picture'

In that case you'd be a great mom. I have a problem with gifts that are neither useful nor funny: I just can't get myself to say something nice about them when I don't feel nice about them. It's not like I want to be mean to the person who gave the gift, I just can't fake my reaction. :o/

With the society I've grown up in, bullshitting and faking are the most important survival instruments I've got. Oh, and that sounds like I'm a terrible person who lies to everyone. I really don't, I just have a lot of people around me, everyday, who say horrible stuff and I need to work with them for a good while yet, so I can't just piss them off.

And I though I sounded more horrible. Because although I don't mean to be mean, I act mean.

... Ooh no, please still be my friend? I really don't want to be mean, at all (except for instances were people have been really insulting towards me or someone I care about, then I'll freely admit to not caring that much what I say to them), but dog eat dog world and I'd like to come out somewhat unscathed? It's really not as bad as it probably sounds. Usually its just racist and other -ist comments coming from everywhere. It's mainly why I still hide the fact that I'm bisexual from 95% of everyone I know IRL. It's another part of my life they'll take extreme offense to, and I don't need to think about them talking shit about it when I'm lying awake at night feeling bad about something or whatnot.

Aw, I'll always be your friend. Don't worry, I understand what you mean. It's just... it's a weird world. People do weird things.

Clothes shopping is a pain. Well, in my opinion, but if I got to see my dad in a dress it would probably be more bearable...

Ohhh, must go watch the new Hobbit trailer!

And Coraline is such a brilliant story.

I haaate clothes shopping, especially because clothes over here can be very expensive and/or in really crazy styles, and I just want something simple please.

I enjoyed the book Coraline but my god, the movie freaked me out. Seriously.

I'm like that, I put off clothes shopping until I absolutely have to. I would rather spend the money on books and films XD

-Lol, your Dad sounds like a lot of fun!

-Coraline was super creepy; I can't believe that it's supposed to be a kid's book.

- Oooh, are you going to post pictures of your paintings?

- that assignment is just...weird.
