Plausible theory?

I liked the Ritchie reference ;) plus, if you rewatch, you can actually see several people holding other people away from the body: yes, some bystanders might do this automatically, but wouldn't more people just be standing and watching in shock? I'm pretty sure there's also someone doing it before the ambulance and medical people arrive

Excellent deduction there! And I'd forgotten about the hydrated rhododendron from the Richie film!

(There's a rhododendron reference in this episode too, is it ONLY a wink? See, my mind is going round and round after clues! Jewelry? Royalty? The dummy and the talk of the man that didn't commit suicide? The music? Sherlock being out of character by crying/actually making a phone call/throwing away his phone/making tea himself/trying to not being himself/other endless possibilities? Anything else?? What what what??? Augh, fandom is so bad for my brain!!)

I think, more likely than not, the rhododendron does mean something. It would be very cool if it did, because it was such an off-hand comment that can be written off as a reference to the movie.

Yes, the non-suicide, I love how randomly that seems but its actually such a huge foreshadowing of what happens later. My brain is going crazy as well, especially after Moffat's: 'he did something out of character' comment. His trolling is starting to bother me a bit actually :/
