I'm just going to leave this here, as it's a brilliant read, written by someone who actually knows what they're talking about:

We Can't be Equal While...

Speaking of females, I've just watched Winters Bone with Jennifer Lawrence: I can definitely recommend it!

Oh, DT is gorgeous, and v. attractive in HP, nothing wrong with you. ;) I guess I was just too mesmerized by his acting to notice at first. Now I think he's one of the sexiest men alive. It's like I focus on the acting first, and then I notice the looks. I did the same thing with RA in Spooks!

Gatiss is on that list too now. It's funny, because I saw him in so many things and didn't realise it was the same guy until I looked at his filmography. Had the shock of my life when I saw he was the alien in DW 6.13. :P At first I thought he wasn't good-looking, but now I think he's got a lot of charm and a lovely voice. Funny how perception changes!

Bwah, I'll have to admit to incredible shallowness here and say that I notice the looks first xD but it doesn't stop me from wanting to learn more if I at first don't find them physically attractive: on the contrary. I hated Brad Pitt with a burning passion for years because I only saw him in 'Golden Boy' roles, but then I saw him in Twelve Monkeys and found out that he really could act!

Gatiss is a chameleon. It's scary!

Gosh, same about Brad Pitt. I've hated him for years. I think better of him now I've seen him in recent films, I think he's gotten a lot better lately!

True, I saw him in tons of things, and he always looked so different. From period drama to Midsomer Murders to Being Human... I've yet to see him in purely comic stuff. :)

I've vaguely heard of it. I was going to watch The League of Gentlemen, but [livejournal.com profile] fueschgast told me it was sort of creepy so idk. :P

Is that the one with Christopher Eccleston as well?

Er, yeah. I didn't know that actually, had to go through the whole list of characters on Wikipedia looking for CE's name. Apparently he guest-starred in it. :)

Oh, okay :) I haven't actually seen it, but I think it was mentioned in an interview about DW or something

Eek, I sounded harsh in the last comment, sorry about that. :/ *little voice* I'm tired...
That gives me another reason to watch it other than stalking Mark Gatiss's work... :P

No worries (: I'm very deadbeat myself - what else has our great Overlord been in that sounds interesting? (anything where he's ginger???)

*hugs*
He's ginger in Being Human!! Apparently he insisted because he wanted to be a ginger vampire. ;) And besides the ginger-ness, he sort of played the villain of my dreams, so...
Hmm, things I saw him in: Midsomer Murders, Sense and Sensibility, Jekyll, Poirot, something about the Spanish Flu I don't remember the title of... But these were all before my 'Omg it's the same guy in all these things' epiphany. I need to find new things.

It'll probably be a while before I watch Being Human, as it's been demoted to under Game of Thrones on my to-watch list :/ boooh. At least Torchwood is a finished show, GoT, DA, DW and Supernatural are all still on-going xD NO TIME TO SLEEP

Whaaat?? He's in Midsomer Murders? Which episode???? How come I never noticed him!

You'll watch GoT in no time, it's so addictive. ;) Hmm, not sure TW is finished, we don't know if there will be a fifth series, but Myles and Barrowman said they were up for it if they decided to make one. 'Miracle Day' wasn't exactly a proper conclusion, so I hope we'll get that final series.

He plays a priest in an episode, he has a couple of scenes in which he plays drunk and he's hilarious! =P

Lol, I feel your pain, I've reached that point where I'm afraid of watching American shows because of The Enormous Number Of Episodes.
Yup, S5 next year! :)

It's just scary. Especially because, with somewhere between six and thirteen/fifteen episodes per season, you can flesh out an amazing storyline and maybe still even have a filler or two if you need 'lighter entertainment'; it annoyed me to no end in the first few seasons of Supernatural, but by now the plot is so intense and complex that practically no episodes are fillers, and it feels very well evened it: it's one of the only 22-episode shows that feels like that though -.- (well, that and sitcoms, but the episodes are only 20 minutes long and they're meant to just be for fun, so it doesn't really count!)

Agreed! I almost only watch shows that have 6-8 eps per season these days, and the plot is so intense that I don't miss having 23 eps. But I need to resume watching Supernatural! I've had 1.2 on my computer for months and still didn't watch it.

It's especially annoying, because in the fillers you can maybe have five minutes of really important character-development or a new fact coming to light, so it's not always safe to just skip them -.- damn you America!

I'd recommend watching it for light entertainment at first ;) until you come to around the season finale in where SHIT HITS THE FAN.

Lol, they manage to trick us. Mind you, you can fill in the blanks with Wikipedia, I'm going to do that with Sanctuary.

You mean it's going to break my heart, and I'm going to be crushed and cry and become overly invested?! Sounds vaguely familiar... *hopeless case*

bwahaha, you evil minx ;D (I totally didn't do this with Bones. Nope, not one bit)

Yep, that sounds like it!
